Folded double module system
Double module system is another way to obtain the profile of short teeth, which can improve the bending strength, but the stability is poor. It is often used in the automobile and tractor industry.
The two-module system provides that two modules of unequal sizes are used to calculate the dimensions of each part of a gear, marked as the fractional form M1 /m2, wherein the larger module M1 is used to calculate the diameter of the indexing circle, and the smaller module M2 is used to calculate the dimensions of the gear teeth.
The calculation formula of each size is as follows:
Indexing circle diameter: D = M1 *Z
Tooth height: HA = HA *m2
Root height: HF =(HA1 + C1)*m2
Tooth tip circle diameter: Da = D +2* HA = M1 *Z+2*ha*m2
Diameter of root circle: DF = D-2 * HF = M1 *Z-2*(HA1 + C1)*m2
